2013 NISSAN GT-R

2013-Nissan-GT-R
Yet again, Nissan has introduced a more revived and upgraded model of the legendary GT-R. No, they haven’t done any exterior cosmetic upgrades yet. But, they have surely have done some fiddling here and there.

For the 2013 model year (2014 for the US), they have done quite a few upgrades underneath the hood, some of which include – improved air intake efficiency, reduced air flow resistance, improved exhaust emissions. The fuel injectors have been replaced this time, for the torque increase in between the 4,000-6,000 RPM range. Which also increases the feel of acceleration and speed together into the mid and high RPM ranges.
Like all VR38DETT’s, each one is hand-built in a special clean room with the hands of a single specially trained technician. For 2013, each engine now has a special aluminium signature plate which bears the signature of the engine constructor.
The chassis has also been slightly upgraded for the 2013 year, now enriching the motivation for that ‘clawing the road’  and better handling overall experience. Peak horsepower and torque numbers remain the same. New cam bolts for the front have been added for a better alignment for the front-end and for better camber accuracy. Also, with adding a new anti-roll bar the roll-centre height has also been reduced for a better and unnecessary movement while driving. 0-60 MPH has also been approved, currently at an amazing 2.6 seconds. Lap time around the Nurburgring is 7:18.6.
Once again for 2013Nissan has kept the Dunlop ® SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT ultra high performance run-flat nitrogen-filled tires. With 255/40RZF20′s for the front and 285/35RZF20′s for the rear. Optional Dunlop® SP 7010 all-season run-flat tires are offered once again for the optional Cold Weather Package.
The brakes have been remained the same as well. Brembo® monoblock six-piston front and four-piston rear callipers with 15.35-inch front and 15.0-inch rear Brembo® full-floating cross-drilled two-piece rotors and low-steel high-stiffness brake pads that minimize fade and provide insane stopping power
For the Premium Edition, the wheels are as same the previous RAYS® ten-spoke 20” finished off in a dark grey accent paint. Black Edition, features the previous years special metallic black six-spoke RAYS® 20” forged lightweight wheels.
The biggest visual change for the 2013 model year, Nissan has changed the appearance of the interior of the Black Edition just a little. The steering wheel now features new coordinated red accents. The interior change for2013 is availability of a new optional Premium Interior Package with exclusive Red Amber colour semi-aniline leather appointments with hand-stitching on the front seats, along with Red Amber accents on the instrument panel, steering wheel, door trim, armrests and shift knob
